Michael Millers’ debut book is the epitome of storytelling–just the right blend of transitioning emotion, torrential conflict, nail-biting intrigue, insatiable humor, unrelenting suspense, and page-turning anticipation. A Promise to Persevere chronicles the life of Michael Miller from a G.E.D. to a Ph.D. candidate. This non-fiction story reads like the pages of a family photo album. It is frothed with marital, parent/child and family conflicts. Michael Miller paints vivid pictorial accounts of his long-held childhood secrets and revelations including romances, overcoming tremendous obstacles, death and suicide.
About the Author
Michael Miller was born into poverty, and stayed there—rebellious, uneducated, and nearly hopeless for the first twenty-five years of his life. Raised in the unforgiving streets of Baltimore, he became a father at 14, was a “troubled youth” and dropped out of high school at 16, ill equipped to effectively participate in his own life. Not until faced with death was Miller able to alter his existence and overcome his obstacles through the power of education. Comments |
